Questionnaire
to colleagues concerning drama/theater practices
Dear
colleagues,
My
name is Kalliopi Sotireli and I am an English teacher in the 7th
Junior High School of Kavala. This short questionnaire addresses
English teachers of the Secondary Education in the Public Sector and
involves the research I am currently doing for my HOU dissertation
(Hellenic Open University - M.Ed. in the Teaching of English as a
Foreign/International Language).
The
title of my dissertation is
“How to 'TIE-DIE' old learning practices - Implementing
Theater/Drama Practices in the English classroom so as to enhance
Secondary Education students' literacy and oracy skills and
motivation”.
This
dissertation will attempt to carry an action research in a Greek
Secondary School context and scrutinize the teaching/learning
benefits of TIE (Theater in Education) and DIE (Drama in Education)
practices granted to all stakeholders, especially to High School
students, taking into consideration how Drama may cognitively affect
and emotionally enhance and motivate learning processes.
